At OMGbabycards.com, our promise to you is as simple as our motto: "Birth announcements done right." To us, this means a high-quality card, in a traditional style, custom-printed with your personalized message, in your choice of ink color and font.

The way we see it, doing something right involves three equally important facets: a concern for the quality of your work, a commitment to the recipients of your work (that is, our customers) and a consideration for the environment.

A Concern for Quality
requires a discerning eye, knowledge and experience. We use only excellent quality papers, imported from the Netherlands, in heavy and medium weights, because we realize that birth announcements should not be disposable or cheap: they'll be sent to the people you love most and saved for many years to come. Unfortunately, the Web is not the best medium for conveying to you the quality of our papers, but we hope that when your order arrives, you'll not only be able to see it in the texture of the fibers, but also feel it and hear when you shake the cards.

A Commitment to our Customers
to us means the same as The Golden Rule we all learned in elementary school. Namely, we treat you as we ourselves would want to be treated. We accept payment through PayPal so that you know your order will be secure and we do not sell or give your personal information to anyone outside of our company. (If you would like more information about the specifics, please read Our Privacy Policy.) It also means ensuring that your order is fulfilled properly. After you place an order, we assemble a digital copy by hand to ensure that everything fits properly and looks good, and then send you the proof copy for your approval. We print and decorate the cards by hand, box them by hand, and even count your cards and envelopes three times to ensure you get exactly what you've requested.

And, a Consideration for the Environment
at its heart, is simply to value the future as much as the present. That's why our cards are printed with soy-based inks, not ones made from petroleum. We use papers with 10% recycled content. And we use only paper that's been certified by the Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) as having been from trees that were sustainably harvested, so that both we and you know that even the paper was done right from the start. Because our papers are from Holland, they all meet both European Union (EU) and US environmental standards.

There's a reason why we say that our cards are individually printed, hand-made, assembled and inspected by eye. Three people (including you) verify before the cards are printed that our personalized message and individually selected ink color and font look good on the design you have selected. Three other people count and check each card before they ship to ensure that your cards are free of stray smudges or spots of ink and check each envelope to see that it hasn't already glued itself shut. We even tie a bow around them! All of our cards are imported from the Netherlands and meet both US and European environmental standards. Most of our papers are recyclable (the ones that are not are labeled) and contain 10% recycled pulp, and all of our papers are certified by the Forest Stewardship Council to be more eco-friendly than using a fully recycled equivalent. Because we care about the environment, we use only soy-based inks.
